William R. “Bill” Koller Jr., 76, of York, who was formerly of Sherwood Forest area of York New Salem, died Dec. 22, 2018 at Manor Care South following a brief illness, Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Kathy R. Mercado, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Shaffer’s Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Bill was born on Nov. 30, 1942 in Codorus Township, a son of the late William Russell and Ruth J. (Stengle) Koller. He graduated in 1961 from Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock and took classes with the Pa. College of Technology in Williamsport. He retired in 1998 from AMP/Tyco East Berlin Plant as a High-Speed Mold Processor following 18 years of employment. Prior to that had worked as a brick layer for several masons in the York Area and was employed with Vol-Sham Aero Space in CA for two years. Bill enjoyed traveling to Puerto Rico and Canada and riding on the York County Rail Trail. He also was an avid NASCAR and Penn State Sports fan. He leaves two sisters, Norma Jean Markle (Lavern) of Glen Rock, Mary J. Spiese of York New Salem; two brothers, Joseph L. Koller (Sandra) of Dover, Thomas E. Koller (Debra) of Glen Rock; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Betty Geisler.
