William Joseph White

William Joseph White, 79, of Glen Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021. He was the loving husband of Mary L. (Kramer) White, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage on February 14th. William was born on December 14, 1941, in Norton, Virginia. He was a son of the late Harry Douglas White and Nina Sarah (Mullins) White. Mr. White proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963 and even inspired his grandson Edward to enlist into the Marines. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, was a gun enthusiast, and loved animals, especially his chihuahua Chloe. He enjoyed playing and collecting guitars, reading, watching the History Chanel, and had a strong interest in computers and technology. Bill adored his wife Mary and thought she was the most beautiful women alive. One of their last cherished memories together was a beautiful moment of smiles and comfort shared with a therapy dog named Blanch. In addition to his wife Mary, Bill is also survived by a daughter Debbie L. Houck and her husband Eddy of Glen Rock; two sons, Sam MacFann and his wife Joyce of Manchester, MD, and Jimmy Young and his wife Debbie of Lansdowne, MD, and he was blessed to be called “Pop Pop” by his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation for friends and family to share their memories will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA with Deacon Fred Horn officiating. Military honors will be given by the York County Veteran Honor Guard. He will be laid to rest 11:30AM Tuesday December 21, 2021, at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD, there will be no formal service at the cemetery.
