On Saturday, January 7, 2023, William D. Oberdick, Jr., 81, of Seven Valleys passed away at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was the husband of Yvonne (Creager) Oberdick for 62 years.
William retired from Campbell Chain in York. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and collecting guns.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Wanda Widmyer and husband Tom, and Wendy Oberdick; one granddaughter, Tara Herbst and husband Dave; and four siblings, Nancy Keech Kroft and husband John, Linda Spangler Lucabaugh and husband Fred, Robert Oberdick and wife Diane, and Craig Wentz and wife Alesia. He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Oberdick, Sr. and Ruth M. (Baughman) Oberdick; and one son, William D. "Obie" Oberdick, III.
Public viewing will be on Wednesday, January 11 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery, York. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
