William C. “Bill” Anstine York William C. “Bill” Anstine, 57, of York, who was formerly of Glen Rock, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at York Hospital following a lengthy illness. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, 1569 West Market Street, York, with Rev. Dr. W. Arthur Grahe, officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church with a time of fellowship following service. Burial will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. (Meet at the Pennsylvania Avenue Entrance) The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting the family with arrangements. Bill was born on October 13, 1957 in York and was a son of the late William L. and Gloria S. (Gohn) Anstine. He graduated from Susquehannock High School in 1976 and from York College in 1996. He had been employed as a Systems Service Representative with IBM for 15 years. He was an avid stamp collector and loved building model cars from kits. Bill also liked to make gourmet meals for family and was an avid fan of old TV series and collected then on his blog MyTVMemories. He also was a former member of the Glen Rock Jaycees. Bill is survived by a sister, Reni E. Fulton of Pasadena CA; a niece Celia Alger and wife Kajsa; a great nephew, Seth E. Alger; his uncle, C. Robert Anstine and wife Jean; cousins, Diane Rohrbaugh and husband Jeff, Tim Anstine and wife Joan and Derek Zeigler; and his three very close friends, Chris Zinn, Mark Marino and Warren “Jim” Brown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 3001 Gettysburg Road, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011.
