Wilhelmina Grove

On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Wilhelmina E. (Gemmill) Grove, 83, of Felton, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the devoted wife of Robert C. Grove. She was born on November 23, 1939 in East Hopewell Township to the late Howard E. and Lillie C. (Thompson) Gemmill. She graduated from Kennard-Dale High School, then took classes to receive her beautician license. Wilhelmina proudly worked on the family farm, picking potatoes, among many other duties. She also worked for Hungerford Canning Factory in New Freedom, Dentsply, then retired from Fincor. She was a past member of Round Hill Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Felton. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.

Wilhelmina is survived by her husband; one daughter, Lonnie Chivers and husband Richard "Lynn", one brother, Bruce Gemmill; four grandchildren, Jeremy Grove and wife Trista, Joshua Grove and wife Heather, Corey Chivers, and Casey Wilson and husband Jeremy; and six great-grandchildren, Eli, Wyatt, Tess, Nora, Charlotte and Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry L. Grove; and one sister, Lulu J. Urey.
