Wayne B. Laughman

Wayne B. Laughman, 69, of New Freedom, died Saturday March 24, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Lucienne “Lucy” M. (Black) Laughman. The couple would have celebrated a 51st wedding anniversary on April 16th 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Rick Stuempfle officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Wayne was born on April 8, 1948 in Hanover and was a son of the late Charles E. and Mildred R. (Landis) Laughman. He retired in 2013 as a Shop Foreman in the Maintenance Department at Memorial Hospital in York following 46 years of employment. He was a member of the Kennard-Dale FFA and loved farming, tractors and working with metal. Besides his wife he leaves three sisters, Raejeane Forry and her husband, Gene of Seven Valleys, Delores Hickman of Glen Rock, and Patricia Laughman of Jacobus, a brother, Warren Laughman and his wife, Donna of Glen Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
