Walter L. “Bud” Forry Jr. Glen Rock Walter L. Forry Jr., 80, of Glen Rock, died Friday, October 3, 2014 of natural causes at his home. He was the husband of Doris E. (Warner) Forry with whom he celebrated a 60th Wedding Anniversary on November 26, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Mt. Zion "Potosi" United Methodist Church, 10730 Mt. Zion Road, Glen Rock, with Pastor Larry Parlett, officiating. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. A graveside service will also be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Zion Shaffer’s United Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. Mr. Forry was born on May 25, 1934 in Springfield Township, a son of the late Walter L. Sr. and Mabel E. (Ruhland) Forry. He had farmed for most of his life in the Springfield Township area and had also worked as a Heavy Equipment and Hi-Lift Operator for various contractors. He retired in 1996 from the Southern York County School District, where he was employed as a courier for 10 years. He was a member of Mt Zion “Potosi” United Methodist Church. Besides his wife, Bud leaves, two sons, Rodney A. Forry and his wife, Gail of Haymarket, Va., James L. Forry, Sr. and his wife, LouAnn of Glen Rock, three daughters, Lisa A. Forry of Philadelphia, Joyce M. Lehman of Harrisburg, Janice K. Forry and her husband, Jan Weger of Czech Republic, six grandchildren, James Forry and his wife Shannon, Ross Forry, Renee Forry, Sara Weger, Ella Weger and Toby Weger, and two great grandchildren, Brooke and Luke Forry; and a community of friends and family. He was predeceased by two children, Brenda L. Forry and Randy R. Forry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 10730 Mt.
