Velton Silas “Si” Auman, 66, of Seven Valleys, passed away peacefully at his home on January 24, 2020. He was the loving husband of Connie A. (Smyser) Auman with whom he would have celebrated a 35th wedding anniversary this coming September 6th. Si was born on May 23, 1953 on the Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. He was the son of the late Russell Tarzan and Delores Vivian (Foster) Auman. Mr. Auman was a United States Army Veteran. Si was a master mechanic for General Motors for 25 years and went on to own his own construction business, Auman’s Home world. He loved hot rods and was the owner of a 1978 and 1984 Camaro. Si and Connie did a lot of traveling in their motor home over the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to the beach, wood working, and watching NASSCAR. In addition to his wife Connie, he leaves two children, Shane Strine of Wrightsville, and Tamara Hively and her husband Brock of Millsboro, DE; two grandchildren, ShaLynn Strine, and Derek Etter; four great-grandchildren, California Faye, Carolina Faye, Langston Shutt, and Waylon Shutt; four brothers, Allen Auman of Somerset, PA, Dave Schaszberger of York, Russell and Timothy Wingert, both of the Somerset area; two sisters, Carolyn McGinnis and Kathy Kodadek both of York; and numerous nieces & nephews. There will be no viewing and following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
