Treva A. Stiles

June 17, 1935 — October 20, 2024

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, Treva A. (Miller) Stiles, 89, of Potosi, passed away peacefully at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehab in York. She was the devoted wife of Donald L. Stiles, with whom she married on November 4, 1950. The two of them resided in the Potosi area their entire lives. She was born on June 17, 1935 in Springfield Township to the late C. Harry and Gertrude (Williams) Miller.

Through her working career, she had been employed by Graybill's, McCrory's, York Federal Bank, and various seasonal jobs. Having been raised on a farm outside of Glen Rock, she was very involved in her community activities. She loved nature and cherished gardening, roses and baking. Treva was always dedicated to family, family history, her church, American History and traveling. She is a lifetime member of St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church in Glen Rock, where she was extremely active teaching Sunday School, she was a member of the church council, the altar guild, and much more. She was past president and member of the York County Farm Women Group 18. She also enjoyed genealogy and crocheting.

Treva is survived by her husband; one younger brother, Ray Miller; six children, Doris Rill and spouse Randall, Shirley Wagner and spouse Paul, Dean Stiles and spouse Anita, Kevin Stiles and spouse Donna, Kathy Reed and spouse Brian, and Peggy Beck and spouse Kevin; fifteen grandchildren, Eric Rill, Andria Lauer and Mark Rill, Jeremy Wagner, Tina Hollis, Angie Tobias, David Stiles, Juliana Tirado, Wesley Stiles, Derek Stiles, Kirstin Dhlamini, Billie Jo Drake, Brian Reed, II, Sara Stitt, and Scott Reed; twenty four great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven sibilngs, including her twin sister, Eva A. Beck.

Public viewings will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Geiple-Predicce funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, then again on Friday, October 25 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Hametown, 11894 Susquehanna Trail S, Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the Alzheimer's Association, 3544 North Progress Ave., Ste. 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or online at www.alz.org.
