Tina Louise Sterner

On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Tina Sterner, 63, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital.

She was born on July 11, 1959 in York, PA, to Melvin Reidt and Marie (Wherley) Reidt. Tina graduated from York County School of Technology (formerly York County Area Vocational-Technical School) in 1977. She began her career in nursing at York Hospital. Tina was a housewife while her children were young then returned to her true calling of private nursing, which she dedicated herself to for another 26 years.

Tina married Lorie Sterner on August 18, 1979 at St Peter's Yellow Church. The couple had 2 children, Cameron Sterner and Marlayna (Sterner) Chemin.

Tina was best known for making memories with her family. Whether it was while traveling to Sanibel Island to find the perfect shell and drink margaritas or going to France to visit Marlayna, David, and Adam. Tina loved to garden and the flowers planted around her house all have their own story. Tina was the most caring, kind, loving person and she dedicated most of her life to taking care of people who needed help.

Tina is survived by her husband Lorie Sterner; two children, Cameron Sterner and wife Katlyn and Marlayna Chemin and husband David; three sisters, Wanda Weaver and husband George, Linda Bowers and husband Steve and Elaine Bush and husband Steve; three grandchildren, Carter and Avery Sterner and Adam Chemin; and five nieces and nephews Traci Creager, Melaine Jackson-Proepper, Wade Bowers, Shelley Wenger and Matthew Bush. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Reidt and Marie Reidt.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 10 am to 11 am. Her funeral service will commence at 11 am at New Hope Fissel's United Church of Christ, 3426 Fissel’s Church Road, Glen Rock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
