Thomas S. Jones

Thomas S. Jones, 88, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. He was born in Scranton, PA. on December 7, 1935 to the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Owen) Jones. Tom is survived by his wife Frances, children Susan Rennoll and her husband Jeff and Gwyneth Allman, grandchildren Kristen and her husband Josh Bankert, Sherri Rennoll, Valerie Rennoll, Trevor Allman and his wife Jenny, and Ria Allman. Great-granddaughters Karleigh and Jacqueline.

Tom graduated from the University of Scranton and worked as an adhesive chemist until his retirement in 2000 from Air Products and Chemicals , Inc., holding two patents in his field.

He served honorably in the United States Navy from January 1957 to October 1963 and the Naval Reserves until December of 1975. He was a Boy Scout and received the Eagle award. Tom later volunteered with the boy scouts as well as the 4-H club and he enjoyed leatherwork and wood carving. Services will be held at a later date and the interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association at act.alz.org
