Thomas H. Krout

Thomas H. Krout Felton Thomas H. Krout, 80, of Felton, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Lou (Bailey) Krout. He was born in Freeland, MD on June 9,1936 and was the son of the late Paul and Margaret (Bull) Krout. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with the Rev. Julian E. Hall officiating. Burial will be in New Hope 'Fissel's' Church Cemetery, Glen Rock with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Tom loved spending time with family and friends at a family cabin, hunting and fishing; watching western movies and Baltimore Oriole baseball games. He also loved going to blue grass concerts and was learning how to play the mandelin. Tom was a member of the firemen association and a member of the NRA. He is survived by two daughters, Robin H. Kornbau and her husband Dave of Felton and Kim A. Read and her husband Fred of Seven Valleys; four grandchildren, Stefanie J. Sarine of Abbottstown, Jason R. Kornbau of York Haven, Dustin T. Read and Thomas S. Read both of Dover; three great granddaughters; Zoey, January, and Allura Sarine; one sister, Bobbie Seitler of Freeland, MD and one brother Jimmy Krout of West Virginia, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Albert Krout. Tom is a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Strine Printing. He also worked for Gichner Mobile Systems of Dallastown and Glen Traditionals in Glen Rock. Tom was police chief of Seven Valleys and Railroad Boroughs as well as an officer in Glen Rock Borough and also worked as school police for Southern School District. He was also a dog catcher, a deputy sheriff and constable for Southern York County. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com
