Thelma B. (Hostler) Baugher

Thelma B. (Hostler) Baugher, 94, of Glenville, PA passed away, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her home peacefully surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Daniel E. Baugher Sr., married 72 years before his passing on 3/1/2020. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 21, 2023 at St. Jacob’s (Stone) United Church of Christ, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville with her pastor, Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard, officiating. A viewing will be held one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Baugher was born on March 11, 1929 and was a daughter of the late Milton H. Hostler and Mary B. (McCallstier) Hostler. Mrs. Baugher was a homemaker. She was a life member of St. Jacob’s (Stone) UCC, the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, and the Homewood Auxiliary.

Thelma enjoyed quilting, baking, and loved spending time with her family, and was known for her pumpkin pie and sugar cookies.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Harlacher of Gettysburg, and Cindy A. Smith and her husband Robert Smith, Jr. of Glenville; three sons, Robert M. Baugher and his wife Anna of Glenville, Richard H. Baugher and his wife Jeanne of Hanover, and Paul H. Baugher of Glenville, 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Sara Baugher Zartman. She was predeceased in death by a son Daniel E. Baugher, Jr. and a brother Herbert Hostler.
