Susan Dell Smith

On Thursday, April 15, 2021, Susan D. (Hoke) Smith, 70, of Dover passed away at WellSpan York Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1950 in York, to the late Milton and Evelyn Hoke. Susan graduated from Spring Grove High School and, in her younger days, enjoyed working for Maple Donuts. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching NASCAR, going to Fulton County Mountains, being outside and planting flowers, collecting butterflies, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Susan is survived by her four children, Rhonda Sharp, Melanie Sharp, Shannon Smith and his wife, Sherry, and Kyle Smith and his wife, Tabatha; 8 grandchildren, Zak Klinedinst, Richie G. Smith, David Potter, III, Rakain Potter, Nathan Diaz, Gabriella Griffin, Joshua McKinney, and Azlynn McKinney; and five great-grandchildren. Prior to cremation, a public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 21, from 2pm until 4pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Face coverings and social distancing are required while in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the American Cancer Society, 924 N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
