Steven M. Lurz

Steven M. Lurz Stewartstown Steven M. Lurz, 65, of Stewartstown, passed away on Monday June 4, 2018. He was the husband of Louise W. (Waters) Lurz, with whom he would have celebrated a 24th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2018. He was born on March 17, 1953 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late Edward Lurz, Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Webster) Lurz. Mr. Lurz served as a Baltimore City Police Officer for 24 years, having retired in 1998. He has since been employed as a Baltimore County District Court Constable and owned and operated his own driving school. Mr. Lurz was the head of the Emergency Vehicle Operations Committee (EVOC) for the State of Maryland and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #3, Baltimore, MD. He was very passionate about serving his community as a law enforcement officer, he enjoyed music, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. In addition to his wife Louise, he is survived by a son Adam T. Buser and his wife Jamie of Felton, PA; his daughter Lynnie Buser and her significant other Dave Roussey of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Austin and Rylee Buser; a brother Edward Lurz and his wife Chris of Jefferson, PA; a sister Barbara Raines; and numerous nieces and nephews. Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA is assisting the family with these arrangements.
