On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Stanley K. Glatfelter, 75, of Seaford, DE, passed away at Deleware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. He was the loving husband of Henrietta "Dolly" (Heistand) Glatfelter for 21 years. He was a truck driver for Penn-DOT for many years until he retired.
Stan was born on February 4, 1950 in York, PA, to the late Sterling K. "Sarge" Glatfelter and Mildred P. (Koller) Stine. Stan was a member of the Seaford American Legion, Post #6; Seaford VFW, Post #4961; New Freedom VFW, Post #7012; and Trinity UCC in Glen Rock. He is survived by his wife, Dolly; three children, Amanda Keister, Jim Naylor and spouse Wenda Sherbine, and Timothy Naylor and spouse Susan; seven grandchildren; six siblings, Lawrence K. Glatfelter and his companion Hazel Murray, Wayde Glatfelter, Betty Danley, Tina Glatfelter, Deborah Glatfelter and Michael Fitzgerald; his mother-in-law Henrietta R. Heistand; and his favorite canine companion, Candy. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Phyllis E. Adams-Gemmill, and his dog Cocoa. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 25, from 10:00 am until a funeral service begins at 11:00 am, at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York.
