Shirley Ann Glatfelter

On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Shirley Ann (Reedy) Glatfelter, 77, of Seven Valleys passed away at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Steven G. Glatfelter for 51 years. Shirley was born on February 2, 1946 in York to the late James and Elsie (Stark) Reedy. She was a 1964 graduate of Susquehannock High School, then joined the substitute secretary pool in the Southern York County School District, where she would assist the different schools in the office, and then later, the cafeteria as well. She then found her work home at Friendship Elementary in Glen Rock, where she would retire from after working over 20 years. Shirley was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacobus. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, antiquing, making ceramics, but most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Steven; one daughter, Jennifer Lea Glatfelter; three grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Autumn Glatfelter, and James Henry Trimmer; one uncle, Bud Stark and wife Donna; and two cousins.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 5, from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 12:00pm at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Road, Jacobus, PA 17407. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Tina Minnich will officiate.
