Sandra Ann Orlowsky

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, Sandra Ann (Blondie) Orlowsky, 81, of York, passed away at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Orlowsky. Sandra was born on December 26, 1941 in Middleport, PA to the late Joseph and Mae (Evans) Yuscyk.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Wheeler, Brenda (Toby) Runkle, Patricia (Dennis) Wilt, Ann (Joel) Ropp, Lisa (Rich) Snyder, and Sandra (Paul) Garner; 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild; lifetime best friend Sandy Thomas; 1 uncle, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her brother Elmer Yuscyk and her sister Beverly Feathers. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family, sharing her love of cooking and baking, especially the dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies she was so very proud of. Sandra was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, coin collecting, gardening, needlework and playing cards, particularly pinochle. Sandra also enjoyed listening to 50's and 60's music and at one time was exceptional at dancing the jitterbug. She was also very proud of the fact that she was from the coal regions of PA and often referred to herself as "a coalcracker". She kept everyone in her circle up to date on current events and had participated in various taxpayer groups. Flowers greatfully accepted, as well as contributions to: yorklibraries.org. Public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18 from 10am until a memorial service begins at 11am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
