Samuel A. Hartman, 93, formerly of Loganville, died Saturday June 16, 2018 at ManorCare Dallastown. He was the husband of the late Nadene (Diehl) Hartman. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2018, at the Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Dallastown, (Route 214, 1 mile east of Loganville) with Pastor Ben Godfrey and Pastor Duane Bahn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock Mr. Hartman was born on December 3, 1924 in Loganville and was a son of the late Martin and Mamie M. (Godfrey) Hartman. Samuel retired from AMP, Inc. in 1985 after many years of employment. He was a lifelong member of Codorus Church of the Brethren. Sam was an avid gardener and enjoyed monthly breakfasts with his family and AMP retirees. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and family. Mr. Hartman leaves a daughter, Brenda L. Overmiller and her husband Steven of York; two grandchildren, Ryan Overmiller and his wife Charolette and Justin Overmiller; a sister, Anna Ness of York; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Diehl. He was predeceased by six sisters, Mary Keeney, Blanche Keeney, Beulah Wills, Catherine Rohrbaugh, Edna Hyser, and Leah Marquet; and two brothers, Austin Hartman and Robert Hartman.
