Samantha Lee Sgagias

On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Samantha Lee (Spahr) Sgagias, 32, passed away at home surrounded by family after a three-year battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband Kostas Sgagias, her daughter Penelope Sgagias, her sister Carly Markle and her family, and her mother. She was born in York to Samuel and Leah Spahr. She grew up in York and went to school at Spring Grove high school.

Samantha worked in sales and admin till she gave birth to her daughter. She wanted to stay home to raise her daughter, so she built her clothing company under the moniker Nelly knots. Designing children's clothing was a passion for Samantha and she excelled at it.

She loved traveling, animals and fashion. Samantha was a devout Christian and often turned to the Bible for guidance.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23 from 10:30am until a funeral service begins at 11:30am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock.
