Roxie E. Weedon

Roxie E. (Ambush) Weedon, age 100, of the Menno Village Retirement Community, Chambersburg, PA died Monday, August 20, 2018. She was the wife of the late Austin C. “Bill” Weedon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 27, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA with Bishop Ernest A. Ambush Jr., Pastor Roy D. Ambush and Pastor Vajaah Parker, officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery, York, Pa. Roxie was born on October 1, 1917 in Fredrick County Maryland and was a daughter of the late Roy G. and Virginia E. (Price) Ambush. She and Bill move to York, PA and remained there for 65 years. There she was employed with the Rosenmiller Family as a housekeeper for 49 years. Roxie and Bill were also custodians at Temple Beth Israel Reform Synagogue. In 2015, Roxie moved to Menno Village where she remained until her passing. She leaves a foster son, Jacques W. Weedon, Sr. (wife Cynthia) of Fayetteville, Pa., two foster grandchildren and a foster great grandchild.
