Rosamond C. Steele

Rosamond C. Steele York, PA Rosamond C. (Breneman) Steele, 95, of York, who was formerly of Saxton, PA, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Steele. Viewings will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday June 29, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and on Tuesday July 1, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church Street, Saxton, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jill M. Clawson, officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton. Mrs. Steele was born on September 19, 1918 in Saxton and was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Ora L. (Fink) Breneman. She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Saxton and had lived most of her life in Saxton, prior to moving to York in 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Sally J. Stabley and her husband Robert of Dallastown, Cassie S. Black and her husband Donald of York; four grandchildren, Matt Black, Mindy Wise, Leslie Appleby and Michael Stabley; seven great grandchildren, Braydon, Laykon, Chloe, Ashlyn, Makenna, Jacob and Connor. She was also predeceased by three sisters. The family request no flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 1001 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678.
