Ronald L. Laughman Glen Rock Ronald L. Laughman, 76, of Glen Rock, died Monday, December, 21, 2015 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Betty M. (Brenneman) Laughman, with whom he observed a 58th Wedding Anniversary on this past September 28th. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, with his pastor the Rev. David W. Miller, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Mr. Laughman was born on May 8, 1939 in Brodbecks, a son of the late Elmer R. and Ruth M. (Werner) Laughman. He retired in 2001 from McClarin Plastics in Hanover where he was employed as a Tow Motor Operator for seven years and prior to that he had worked as an assembler at the former Cole Steel in York for over 31 years. He was a lifelong member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Deacon, Head Usher and with the PAL Program in Hanover. He was a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching his favorite drivers, Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jr. He also loved walking and riding his bike on the Rail Trail. Besides his wife, he also leaves two daughters, Melissa “Missy” L. Laughman and her husband Jeffrey of Spring Grove, Kathy S. Cable and her husband John of York; two sons, Keith A. Laughman and his wife Colleen of Hanover and Kevin E. Laughman and his wife Lisa of Codorus; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Essie Shearer of Spring Grove, Jean Kehr of Hanover and Vivian E. Walton of York. He was preceded in death by a brother Nevin Laughman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Community Care, P.O.
