Rodolfo Palacios

Rodolfo R. Palacios Yorkana Rodolfo R. “Bob” Palacios, 71, of Yorkana, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday March 26, 2017 at his home. He was the loving husband to Ruthann M. (Mellinger) Palacios with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. He was born in Lancaster County on May 27, 1945 and was the son of Lillian (Weaver) Rutter of Columbia, and was raised by his maternal grandmother, the late Bertha Weaver. Following cremation, a visitation for friends and family to share their condolences will be held Sunday April 2 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Manor Church, 530 Central Manor Rd, Lancaster. A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 PM at the church with his Rev. Brian Funk officiating. There will be no viewing. The family requests that you dress casual. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting the family with these arrangements. Bob graduated from Columbia High in1964 and was a millwright for Caterpillar Tractor, York for 32 years, having retired in 1998. He has been the Mayor of Yorkana for over 25 years. He is a member of Manor Church, Mountville, and Rock Oak Hunting Camp in Center County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Besides his wife, Ruthann M. (Mellinger) Palacios of Yorkana; he leaves three daughters, Dawn M. Palacios of Austin, TX, Lori D. Keech and husband Michael of Delroy, and Keri L. Palacios of Hellam; five grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Sterner, Kaitlyn and Benjamin Keech, and Josiah Palacios; three brothers, Gary Rutter of NC, Greg Rutter of Dover, and Steve Rutter of Wrightsville; and a sister Tracey Kauffman of Frenchville, PA. He was preceded in death by a son Andrew R. Palacios, a brother Joey Rutter and a sister Sandy Rutter.
