Rodger L. Ness Loganville Rodger L. Ness, 89, of Loganville, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Beulah A. (Miller) Ness. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on January 21. Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street Glen Rock. An additional viewing will be Friday, July 18, 2014, from 9:30 to 10: 30 AM at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 40 S. Main Street, Loganville. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM at the church. Officiating will be his pastor the Rev. Wayne A. Shamer. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Yellow Church Cemetery, Seven Valleys. Mr. Ness was born on December 14, 1924, in York Township, a son of the late Charles H. and Nettie (Peters) Ness. He retired in 1987 from Local #5 York County Bricklayers Union after 45 years as a mason. He was a member of St. Peter’s Yellow Church, Loganville Fire Company, Loganville-Springfield Senior Group, and a life time member of Steam O Rama. He attended Emanuel United Methodist Church. Rodger was the oldest native male resident of Loganville. Besides his wife Beulah, he leaves a daughter, Mary E. Kraft and her husband Lynn of Seven Valleys; two sons, William L. Ness and his wife Kate of Salunga, PA, and Barry L. Ness and his partner A. Scott Raimer of Seven Valleys; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and a sister Helen Alwood of York. He was preceded in death by two sons, Randy L. and Garry L. Ness.
