Robert E. Tome

On Tuesday April 11, 2023, Robert E. "Bob" Tome, 80, passed away at ProMedica Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dallastown. Bob was born on June 17, 1942 in York to the late Lester D. and Elsie M. (Markle) Tome. He worked for Tate Products for many years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Red Lion Bible Church, former member of the Eagles Lodge #183, past Red Lion Jaycees Member, York County Firefighters Association, Life Member of the Windsor Fire Company, and member of Red Lion Chapter #1773 AARP. He was also the Assistant Fire Policeman in Red Lion and attended many State Firemens Conventions.

He is survived by his siblings, Kenneth L. Tome and wife Brenda, Dale Tome, Shirley Seitz and husband Elmer, Ruth Ann Boyd and Sandy Harris and husband Walter, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Karen and Dorothy Tome.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 18 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Church Cemetery, New Bridgeville. Rev. Steven Schmuck will officiate. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
