Robert B. Ness Glen Rock Robert B. Ness, 77, of Glen Rock, died Saturday September 10, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Norma J. (Matthews) Ness, with whom he celebrated a 52nd Wedding Anniversary this past December. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Pastor Anthony D. Zumbo of Windsor Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with Military Rites by the York County Veteran Honor Guard. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Bob was born on September 10, 1939 in Winterstown and was a son of the late Robert E. and Esther E. (Waltimyer) Ness. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from York International, York where he was employed as a Brazer. Prior to that he worked as an Assembler at Cole Steel York. Bob was an avid Hunter and enjoyed doing snow removal and mowing grass for others. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Douglas B Ness and husband Kenneth L. Ness of Glen Rock, four sisters, Doris N. Deisinger of York, Patsy A. Leiphart of Windsor, Cindy S. Lewis of Dillsburg, and Betty L. Keiser and husband Wayne of Windsor, two brothers, Donald L. Ness and wife Roann of Red Lion, Dean R. Ness of Winterstown and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard E. Ness.
