Reginald N. Greenplate

Reginald N. "Reggie" Greenplate, 95, passed to his eternal home Tuesday August 3, 2021, at his home. He was the loving husband to the late Phyllis J. (Gladfelter) Greenplate, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Reginald was born on October 19, 1925, in Codorus Township, the son of the late John A. and Jennie (Wildasin) Greenplate. Mr. Greenplate proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II in England and the Philippines from 1943 to 1946. Reggie farmed for many years in Codorus Township and retired after 21 years in the plating department at Tyco Electronics, formerly AMP, Inc. Following retirement, he worked for 17 years at the 83 North Rest Stop, Shrewsbury. He was a member of Greenmount United Methodist Church, where he also attended Sunday School. He was a devoted husband and father, as well as a loving grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather. He leaves two sons, Nevin R. Greenplate (Sandy), and Joseph E. Greenplate (Carolyn); three daughters, Rita M. Eveler (Stanley), Regina L. Cramer (George), and Christine F. Haynes (David); nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He is Predeceased by two infant sons. Services will be held at Greenmount United Methodist Church, 4242 Greenmount Church Road, Glen Rock, on Friday, August 6, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed immediately by the funeral service. Rev. Timothy Parker will officiate. Interment will follow at the Jefferson Cemetery.
