Rebecca L. Thompson

Rebecca L. (Krebs) Thompson, 51 of Codorus, died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at York Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of John R. Thompson, with whom she was married to for 24 years this past November 6th. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 York Street, Codorus, with her pastor, the Rev. Sean Titus, officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Becky was born in Hanover on November 6, 1965 and was a daughter of Richard M. and Linda L. (Boose) Krebs of Codorus. She was a 1984 graduate of Spring Grove High School and was employed as a CNA at the Homewood Home at Plum Creek for over five years. Prior to that she was employed at Hanover Direct in Hanover for over 20 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jefferson Fire Company. She was an amazing mother and a very caring person who would do anything for her family and others. She was also a wonderful caregiver and enjoyed working with the many residents at Plum Creek. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves two daughters, Sarah E. Krebs and her fiancé David M. Shepke of York, and Emily M. Thompson of Codorus; a son, Randy M. Thompson of Codorus; two brothers, Scott R. Krebs and his wife Pam of Codorus and Eric P. Krebs and his wife Shelly of York and by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327 to help defray funeral expenses. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com.
