Rebecca Ann Burke

On Thursday, February 4, 2021, Rebecca Ann (Hagan) Burke, 50, of Stewartstown, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Burke. Rebecca was born on August 19, 1970 in Havre de Grace, MD to Betty (Hagan) Waid. She received an associate’s degree from Harford Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Notre Dame University of Maryland. Rebecca had a passion for poodles and all other animals. She is survived by her children, Lindsey Burke, Sarah Cramblett and Josh Burke; mother, Betty (Hagan) Waid; 2 brothers, Kenneth Orgarth and John Waid, Jr.; grandparents, James and Iona Hagan; and best friend, Theresa Wolf. A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11am. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. is assisting the family.
