Raymond Gillman York Raymond Gillman, 89, of York, died Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill. He was the husband of the late Dorothy "Dodie" (Kalish) Gillman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Temple Beth Israel, 2090 Hollywood Drive, York. Officiating at the service will be Rabbi Jeffrey Astrachan. Burial will be in South Hill Hebrew Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Gillman was born on November 24, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY as son of the late Luis and Rae Gillman. He was a self-employed Carpet Installer for many years, working for various flooring companies in the York area, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel. Ray leaves two daughters, Shelly Shapiro of Charlotte, NC and Louise Seute and her husband Anthony of Miami, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Jessica Wolff and her husband Clifford, Sarah Shapiro and Adam Shapiro.
