On Sunday, January 16, 2022, Randy L. Nafe, 65, of Glenville passed away at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the husband of Eileen (Bechtel) Nafe, with whom he had shared 15 years of marriage. Randy was born on June 18, 1956 in York to Creta (Seigman) Nafe and the late the late Gene E. Nafe. He graduated from York VoTech, where he studied machine maintenance. He had worked for Harley-Davidson in York for over 35 years before retiring. He then worked for HTI Contractors, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic and had just retired at the beginning of this month.
Randy enjoyed tinkering in his shop, where he would make, design, or restore all sorts of things from tractors, trucks and antiques. He was always willing and eager to teach someone how something worked or how to do something. He also enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, camping, loved nature, going to Steam Engine Shows, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen; two children, Mark Nafe and Connie Knox and her husband Shawn; four step-children, Pam Lindsay, Tina Mann, Jamie Cook, their spouses, and Bobbie Hess; one brother, Keith Nafe and his wife Gus Nafe; seven grandchildren, Bryleigh West, Brianna West, Bethany Walker, Trenton, Colton, Ashlynn and Eli Nafe; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 21 from 11am until a funeral service begins at 1pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery, Glenville. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
