Randy K. Koller Patrick Air Force Base FL Randy K. Koller, Gunnery SGT, Retired USMC, age 56, of Patrick Air Force Base Satellite Beach, FL, received his heavenly promotion and went home to the Lord following a lengthy illness on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Culpeper VA. He was at peace with the Lord and surrounded by his family and friends. Randy was born on January 8, 1959 in York and was a son and step son of Norma G. (Newcomer) Baker and Ken B. Baker of Glen Rock and son of the late Richard R. Koller. He graduated in 1976 from York County Vo-Tech and proudly served his country in his 20 year career with the US Marine Corps, beginning his career at Parris Island and again returning there, after many foreign and domestic posts including his favorite in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Following retirement from the military he owned Documenters – Xerox, in Great Mills, MD and then became a Defense Contractor with Symetrics, which involved global responsibilities. Randy was a loving father to Randi Lee Hess and husband Mike, Ami J. Koller, Allison Koller and Jacob Koller, all of Florida; his grandchildren, Kyle and Sean Hess of Florida; his two sisters, Deborah J. Koller of Culpeper Va. and Stacie Koller Lippy of Shrewsbury; his two brothers, Steven E. Koller and wife Sherrie and Michael R. Koller and wife Gail, both of York and his nieces, Rachel Koller Walters and husband Tim of Locust Grove, VA, Alexandra Lippy of New York City, Abbie Beale and husband DJ of Hanover, Camille Marsteller of York; his nephews, Eric Koller and wife Darby of Melbourne FL, Matthew Koller of York, Grant Lippy of Shrewsbury and Jered Marsteller of York. He was also predeceased by a step brother, Steven R. Baker, his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday November 27, 2015 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with a time of sharing by family and friends beginning at 8:00 PM. Burial took place at the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort SC on Monday November 23, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or to Toys for Tots, P.O. Box 7313, York, PA 17404. Randy’s handsome smile and great sense of humor will be missed.
