Peggy M. Brett

On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, Peggy (Moseley) Brett, 90, of Stewartstown, passed away at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in York. She was the loving wife of the late Francis Joseph Brett, who passed away in 1997. They were married for 44 years until his passing.

Peggy was born on March 15, 1933, in Port Jefferson, NY, to the late Carl Moseley and Margaret (Wood) Lawrence.

Peggy graduated from Port Jefferson High School in NY. Peggy was a homemaker while raising her children, but she was also a realtor for several years, until 1969. She had also worked at a nursery and a shoe store. At one time she even owned and operated her own antique shop. She and her husband enjoyed collecting horse drawn carriages and riding in the Smithtown Hunt in Long Island, NY. Peggy was very artistic and enjoyed painting, and making all sorts of crafts. She was also a cat lover and frequently had cats in her home that were like her family.

Peggy is survived by three children, James Brett, Carrie Brett Britcher and husband William Britcher, and Heather Harris and husband Donald; eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Joshua, Jennifer and Eli Brett, William, Jr., Alex, Meredith, and Summer Britcher, Megan, Melanie Hammacher and Morgan Harris; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one daughter, Kim Brett.
