Paul C. "Brownie" Brown

November 20, 1930 — October 25, 2022

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Paul C. "Brownie" Brown, 91, of Glen Rock passed away. He was the devoted husband to Sally A. (Lilley) Brown for 64 years, with whom he married in 1958. Brownie was born on November 20, 1930 in Schuylkill Township to the late Carl P. and Carrie M. (Carney) Brown. Paul graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1949, then served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 on the USS Howard D. Crow.

Brownie was a retired truck driver and drove for companies such as 7UP, Stauffer Biscuit, Markey Trucking, and Motor Freight Express.

He was a member of Loganville Emanuel United Methodist Church, where he was a member of their church choir, and was chairman of the trustees for many years. He was a loyal sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening; traveling, making it to 49 states, Canada and Mexico; and he enjoyed going on yearly family camping trips.

Brownie is survived by his wife, Sally; one son, Jeffrey Brown; three daughters, Susan L. Gochoco and husband Julian, Wendy L. Hileman and husband David, Marcie L. Schnetzka and husband Rick and ; one brother, Carl P. Brown, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Breanne, Erin, Marissa, Jared and Andrew; and four great-grandchildren, Ezra, Ananiah, Parker & Mason. In addition, there are several nieces & nephews surviving. He was pre-deceased by a son, Andrew Kevin Brown.

Following cremation, public visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, from 10:00 AM until a memorial service begins at 11:00 AM at Loganville Emanuel United Methodist Church, 40 S. Main St., Loganville, PA. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Ron Swift will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the Salvation Army at give.salvationarmyusa.org OR to the Loganville Emanuel United Methodist Church at the address above. Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. is assisting the family.
