Paul A. Beck Red Lion Paul A. Beck, 65, of Red Lion, died of natural causes, Monday, February 23, 2015 at the York Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joan E. (Willders) Beck with whom he celebrated a 43 wedding anniversary this past November 20th. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Peter’s Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with his pastor the Rev. Dr. Matthew Stillman officiating, assisted by Pastor Thomas Beck. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York with military rites by the Dallastown American Legion Post #605. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Friday at St. Peter’s church. Mr. Beck was born in Hanover on May 9, 1949 and was a son of Ethel M. (Kessler) Beck of Seven Valleys and the late Austin P. Beck. He was a graduate of Dallastown Area High School in 1967 and was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam. Paul was a warehouse worker for The Mill of Red Lion for 7 years, retiring in April 2014. He and his wife had also farmed and owned the Sun Valley Holsteins in Seven Valleys for over 30 years until 2004 and he had worked for three years with Fitz and Smith Construction. Mr. Beck was a member of Zion Shaffer’s Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys and the Dallastown American Legion Post #605. He loved going on bus trips, bird watching, going to casinos, helping his neighbors, and most of all he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Besides his wife and mother, Paul leaves, three daughters, Bonnie A. Stevens of Dallastown, Mary E. Beck and her companion David A. Gordon of Ruxton, MD, and Patty A. Williams and her husband Lee of Stewartstown; three grandchildren, Conner A. Stevens, Jacob A. Williams, and D. Alex Gordon; and three sisters, Jean Bricker, Donna Kiser and her husband Joe, and Brenda Dise, all of Seven Valleys. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda M. Bailey. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
