Norma Jene “ Jenee” (Smith) Bailey, 89, of Glen Rock, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. Bailey. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 12, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Pastor Wayne A. Ross, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bailey was born on January 25, 1929, in West York, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth S. and Lulua I. (Glatfelter) Smith. Norma had a degree in cosmetology and was self-employed as a beautician in the Glen Rock area for many years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock and most recently attended the Temple Baptist Church, Leaders Heights. Jenee was an avid baseball and football fan, with her teams being the Orioles, Ravens, and Penn State. She enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She leaves a son, Ken F. Bailey and his wife Shirley of Glen Rock; two daughters Linda J. McQuaid and her husband Jim, and Marsha L. Martin both of Hedgesville, WV; six grandchildren, Stacey Burroughs of York, Frank Bailey of Glen Rock, Kasey Murphy, Jimmy McQuaid, and Samantha Carbaugh all of Hedgesville, WV, and Julia Dailey of Martinsburg, WV; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
