Nolan Williams

On Monday, March 3, 2025, Nolan E. Williams, 90, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Marian R. (Patterson) Williams for 62 years. Nolan was born on February 10, 1935, in Kingsport, TN to the late James and Nannie Kate (Hobbs) Williams. After graduating from Lyn View High School in Kingsport, TN, he entered into the US Army, where he was stationed in Italy until his discharge in 1962.

Nolan became a cost accountant, and worked for York Shipley until he retired. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Glen Rock; the Glen Rock VFW; and the Glen Rock American Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles.

Nolan is survived by his wife, Marian; one son, Patrick Williams; and two grandchildren, Tyler Rene and Jacob Patrick Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jody Lyn Williams.

A public gathering will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 10:00am until a memorial service begins at 11:00am at Zion Lutheran Church, 49 Hanover St., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to Zion Lutheran Church at the address above.
