Nevin James Krebs

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Nevin J. Krebs, 80, of Hanover, passed away at UPMC Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Smith) Krebs for 33 years before her passing in 1997. Nevin was born on June 10, 1944 in York, to the late Maurice and Gladys (Fishel) Krebs. He worked for AMF, Inc. in Glen Rock for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge Post #1406 in Hanover; the HOA of McSherrystown; and the Brothers of Brush in Jefferson. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Gator around the farm, hunting, watching westerns on TV, going clubbing, and vacationing and snowmobiling at his cabin in Lycoming County. Nevin was a creature of habit, going to different places at their specified times throughout the week.

He is survived by his two children, Kelly Utz and Mike Krebs and his wife Sue; one brother, Robert Krebs; 5 grandchildren, Billy Utz and his wife Megan, Kandi Brown and her husband Rich, Montana and Nolan Poust, Korinn Krebs and Kendra Visilias and husband Brad; and three great-grandchildren, Parker Wheatherly, Heston Poust and Cole Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; parents, Maurice and Gladys Krebs; one son-in-law, Bill Utz; and two siblings, Richard Krebs and Lorraine Tyson.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00am at Jefferson Cemetery, 2636 Jefferson Rd, Spring Grove, PA 17362. Online condolences may be made under "Share A Memory" on this page.
