Nadine Carol Stevenson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nadine Carol Stevenson, 71, who endured a brief illness and departed from this world on February 17, 2024 to join her beloved husband Wesley in heaven. Nadine was born in York County, PA on June 2, 1952 to Millard Austin and Leona Virginia (Miller) McCleary, the fourth of seven siblings. Nadine spent a fulfilling career working in financial services for Vanguard. She had a keen interest in nature, especially birds and trees and the preservation thereof. Nadine was a woman of unwavering faith in God, whose devout beliefs guided her throughout her life's journey. A stalwart patriot, Nadine held a deep love for her country, evident in her active involvement with the political affiliations and volunteer work. She was also an avid Phillies fan.

Nadine was preceded in death by parents Millard and Leona McCleary, husband Wesley Stevenson, brother Dale Eugene McCleary, and sister Lena Jean McCleary. She is survived by sisters Sylvia Marie Erline (Thomas), Gloria Darlene McCleary, and Sharon Fay Phelan (Thomas) and brother Donald Roy McCleary (Nancy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, she is also survived by Kevin and Karen Stevenson. Nadine will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, yet her spirit will continue to live on through the memories she created and the lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband Wesley,in the embrace of heaven's boundless grace.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024, 12:30 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church- Hametown, 11894 Susquehanna Trail S, Glen Rock, PA 17327. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to either St. Paul Lutheran Church Hametown at the above address or the Brandywine Valley SPCA at bvspca.org.
