Miriam E. Markel SEVEN VALLEYS - Miriam E. (Hoff) Markel, 79, of Seven Valleys, died May 2, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leroy M. Markel. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday May 7, 2018 at St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church, 4258 Ziegler’s Church Road, Seven Valleys, with Rev. Jane Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing, a visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 am Monday at the church. Mrs. Markel was born Aug. 28, 1938 in North Codorus Township and was a daughter of Lemuel H. and Alverta S. (Senft) Hoff. She graduated in 1956 from Spring Grove High School and was a member of St. Paul (Zeigler's) Lutheran Church, where she had taught Sunday School and served on several committees. Miriam is survived by two daughters, Lora L. Miller of Dover and Denise E. Kaltreider and her husband Ron of Seven Valleys; three grandchildren, Lance Miller, Nicholas Kaltreider and Breanna Kaltreider.
