Millard E. “Red” Krebs The Villages FL Millard E. “Red” Krebs, 92, of The Villages FL, died October 8, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of the late Mary (Merrick) Krebs and the late Nadine (Feeser) Krebs. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday July 11, 2015 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with his great-niece Anne Confer Martens officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock with flag folding and taps by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Krebs was born in Glen Rock on March 20, 1922 and was a son of the late Levi T. and Beulah I. (Tuck) Krebs. He graduated from Glen Rock High School in 1940 and from Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. He was an Aviator with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following the war he worked as a Journalist with the York Dispatch, Baltimore Evening Sun and then went to work as the Director of Public Relations for the American Hospital Association in Chicago. Millard helped to organize and was a consultant with the preparation of a Rose Bowl Parade float for the AHA. He also was a self-employed Public Relations Consultant in Atlanta GA working with several hospitals in the South East United States. Red is survived by a son, Bruce M. Krebs and his wife Sherry of Chicago, two brothers, Leroy E. Krebs and wife Betty and Lyndon T. Krebs and wife Barbara, all of York and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Thomas G. Krebs and a sister Helen M. Krebs. Memorial contributions be made to York County Veterans Honor Guard, PO Box 712, Mt Wolf, Pa 17347
