Mildred L. Hufnagel

Mildred L. (Geiple) Hufnagel, 96, of Glen Rock, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late Arthur H. “Ottie” Hufnagel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday Feb. 1, 2019 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Millie was born on June 4, 1922 in Glen Rock and was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Emma (Anderson) Geiple. She graduated in 1940 from Glen Rock High School and from Hood College in 1944 where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietitian/Nutrition. She had worked at the French Hospital in New York for two years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glen Rock, where she served on the Altar Committee and was the Memorial Gifts Book Keeper for many years. She was also a member of the Glen Rock High School Reunion Committee, where she kept track of the deaths of all persons that attended the high school. She was also a member of the Glen Rock Historical Preservation Society and volunteered at the Arthur H. Hufnagel Library in Glen Rock in the 1970’s. She leaves her son James F. Hufnagel of Glen Rock and a grandson Brandon C. Hufnagel (Matthew J. Wink) of Glen Rock. She was also predeceased by a son, John C. “Otts” Hufnagel, a granddaughter, Briana C. Lazar and her brother George E. Geiple. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 49 Hanover Street, Glen Rock, PA 17327 or to the Arthur H.
