Michael R. Wengryn

Michael R. Wengryn of Shrewsbury passed peacefully on February 20, 2023 from complications of liver cancer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Eveline (née Cahn), his daughters; Stacie, her husband Philip D'Amour, their daughter Yvette and Marie Gantz-Hoerr, her husband Andy Hoerr, their sons Jander and Rowan. He is also survived by his brother Daniel, nieces, nephews and countless cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Olga (née Hanioshyn), aunts, uncles and cousins.

He had a masters degree in Environmental Science and worked in the filtration industry for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, golfing, skiing, playing bocce, pickle ball, traveling, ''hunting'' and ''fishing'' with his friends and grandsons. He was a member of 4H and through their International 4H Youth Exchange (IFYE) he was able to spend six months in Japan, sparking a lifelong love of travel. His love and kindness will continue to be felt by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 1 at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, Pa 17327 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday, March 2, 12 pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, Pa 17349.
