Michael David Norwood

Michael D. Norwood, 57, of Glen Rock, PA, passed away peacefully in to the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at home. He was the loving son of Gilbert Norwood, who passed away on January 6, 2022 and Thelma (Britt) Norwood who passed away on January 28, 2015. Mike was born in Westminster, MD on July 11, 1964 and was a 1982 graduate of York Vo-Tech, York, PA. Mike loved American history, especially the Colonial and Civil War time periods. He decorated his home in a similar way to colonial Williamsburg homes. He was a talented artist with an artistic eye who loved to draw. Mike worked in retail for many years at Weis Markets and Nell's Shurfine Markets. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus, and attended Calvary Bible Church, Hanover, PA. He dedicated the last several years of his life to taking care of his father. He leaves two sisters, Margaret Plitt and her husband Darin of Hanover, and Ruth Norwood and her husband Haithem Chouaikhia of Falls Church, VA, two nephews, Garrett Plitt of Lindley, NY, and Grant Plitt of Hanover, PA, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
