Mary Louise Smith

Mary Louise Smith York Mary L. (Bollinger) Smith, 80, of Senior Commons York, who was formerly of Jacobus, died December 2, 2015 at Rest Haven, York. She was the wife of Stuart L. Smith with whom she shared 61 years of marriage this past February 13th. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Friedensaal Lutheran Church, 9138 White Church Road, Seven Valleys with her pastor the Rev. Margareta M. Breden, officiating. Burial will be in in the church cemetery. A Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday at the church. Mrs. Smith was born in Spring Grove on April 26, 1935, a daughter of the late O. Martin and Margaret (Shearer) Bollinger and was a graduate of Spring Grove High School. She was a member of Friedensaal Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Sunday school and active with the Ladies Circle Group of the church. She loved going to the cabin in Potter County in the fall, taking care of her family and she enjoyed making quilts for the church. Mary also leaves a daughter, Melissa A. Ruth and her husband Randy, a son Andrew M. Smith and his wife Shannon, all of Spring Grove; two granddaughters, Maddie Ruth of Richmond, VT, Emma Wheedleton of York; and a brother Kenneth Bollinger of Spring Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friedensaal Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 9138 White Church Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360.
