Mary Ellen Bailey

Mary Ellen Bailey, 97, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2023. She was born in Glen Rock on April 11, 1926 to the late Roy and Mary (Rohrbaugh) Rother. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2016, their 73rd year of marriage. Mary is survived by her daughter Beverly J. Swope and her husband Carl of Danboro, PA., son Ronald C. Bailey and his wife Donna of Galeton, PA., four grandchildren, Jeffrey Swope and wife Beth, Lori Westover and husband Lynn, David Swope and wife Stacey, and Cody Bailey, seven great-grandchildren, Courtney, Ashley, Shane, Jason, Rachel, Gabriella, and Zachary. Mary worked for Guy Hobbs, Inc. and retired from AMP in 1998. She enjoyed family, friends, card club and loved Christmas. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA. 17327. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 27 Manchester St., Glen Rock, PA. 17327 at 11 AM with a viewing prior starting at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Trinity Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church at the above address.
