Mary A. Miller, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 following a lengthy struggle with dementia. She leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Phillip Miller. Mary was born February 9, 1941 in Red Lion. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Ida Zeigler. After graduating from Red Lion Area High School in 1959, Mary worked a variety of jobs over the years, including Yorktowne Cabinets and Pfaltzgraff in the payroll department. Her most meaningful job was caregiver for her mother during her later years. Mary was a member of Codorus Church of the Brethren for many years. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in her flowers as well as her vegetable garden. She also treasured time spent with her family and friends. Mary loved all animals but had a special fondness for cats. She is survived by her siblings Helen Myers, George Zeigler, and Arthur Zeigler. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Gladys Snyder and Ruth Lauer; and brothers-in-law, Lester Lauer and Wilford Myers. There will be a memorial gathering on Wednesday, August 25 from 10am until a memorial service begins at 11am at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., Dallastown, PA 17313. Pastor Ben Godfrey will officiate. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the church at the address above.
