Marlene (Barron) Denenberg, 82, died Monday October 1, 2018 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. She was the wife of the late Marvin S. Denenberg. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday October 4, 2018 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Rabbi David Kushner, officiating. Burial will follow in South Hill Hebrew Cemetery, York. There will be no viewing. Mrs. Denenberg was born on November 10, 1935 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Philip and Fannie (Jaffe) Barron. She graduated West Philadelphia High school in 1953 and had worked at Environmentally Safe Products, Inc. in New Oxford as an accounts receivable clerk for many years. She was a member of the Hanover Hebrew Congregation, Ohev Sholom Sisterhood and the Women’s American ORT. She served as a Board Member and was a volunteer with Jewish Family Services of York and volunteered at Memorial Hospital in York for many years. She crocheted scarfs and caps for Stiches of Love. She is survived by three sons, Philip A. Denenberg (Corinne) of York, Andrew M. Denenberg, of Hanover, Jeffrey R. Denenberg (Sherry) of Millerstown, two daughters Erica L. Denenberg of York, and Debra J. Denenberg of Atlanta GA; three grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Jewish Family Services of York, marked for Manna Project, 2000 Hollywood Dr. York, PA 17403 or to a local food bank of your choice.
