Louise T. Smith

On Thursday, January 20, 2022, Louise T. Smith, 97, of Glen Rock passed away at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home in Hanover. She was the wife of the late William H. Smith. Louise was born on October 17, 1924 in Manheim Township to the late Earl M. and Louise J. (Thoman) Smith. She attended Glenville Academy and then enjoyed life as a homemaker raising her children. She was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ in Glenville, where she was involved in Sunday School, the sewing group, and volunteered in the kitchen for church picnics. Louise is survived by two children, Judy D. Cromer and husband Michael of Hanover, and Rodney L. Smith of Glen Rock; 5 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two siblings, Ina Kaltreider and Ralph Smith. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 25 from 10am until a funeral service begins at 11am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Bouchard will officiate.
